Margaret Mooney

Maggie Mooney competed in speech and debate for 11 years, gaining experience across Lincoln Douglas, British Parliamentary, and American Parliamentary debate. Maggie was a Virginia statewide runner-up in Lincoln Douglas, a 4x NSDA National Qualifier, and recently finished their final year of competitive debate competing for UVA's Parliamentary Debate Society as one half of the second best 2-person team in the nation. In their time debating for UVA, Maggie also won 5th speaker of the year, the LGBTQ+ Achievement Award, and the Bo Missonis Award for creative style in the activity. They're thrilled to bring their passion and expertise to CDA as a Parliamentary Debate coach!
